Wayne Dalton

Wayne Dalton manufactures residential garage doors, including the Model 9800 designer fiberglass carriage-house door. The 9800 bonds a molded wood-grain fiberglass surface to steel with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation.

Wayne Dalton builds the Model 9800 as a fiberglass carriage-house door with a wood-grain look. The door pairs fiberglass over steel with polyurethane foam for thermal performance. It also uses the TorqueMaster Plus counterbalance system.

Construction and Insulation

The Model 9800 uses a fiberglass surface over a steel structure. Wayne Dalton insulates the door with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation that has an R-value of 7.6. The foam fills the door section to improve thermal and acoustic performance.

The fiberglass skin gives the door a molded wood-grain appearance. The polyurethane core adds rigidity and dampens noise during operation.

Warranty

Wayne Dalton backs the Model 9800 with a layered warranty. The coverage includes a 1 year warranty for all of its components. It also carries a 3-year warranty against delamination of the fiberglass skin.

The structural coverage runs longer. The door has a limited lifetime warranty on the product being inoperable due to structural failure caused by malfunctioning metal hardware components.
